Crowdfunding Campaign, “Tambah Emas” Project
PCM’s first crowdfunding campaign, aptly known as “Tambah Emas” Project, which was launched on January 13th, 2019 by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Binti Wan Ismail, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia with the Minister of Youth and Sport, YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, in attendance.
Collection from this campaign will be used to holistically develop Malaysian para sports from the grassroot level, as well as to help encourage the spirit of sportsmanship among our para athletes to strive for excellence at national and international paralympic competitions. After Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, we are now focussed on Asian Youth Para Games Bahrain in December 2021, Commonwealth Games Birmingham UK in 2022, Asian Para Games in Hangzhou China in 2022, ASEAN Para Games Phnom Penh 2023 and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

RHB LEKAS Highway Ride 2023 saw the participation of 20 cyclists with disabilities taking part in a major cycling event in the country for the first time. To promote the spirit of inclusivity, 20 cyclists with disabilities were invited into a special category to cycle 22 km. Secretary-General of Paralympic Council Malaysia, First Admiral Dato’ Subramaniam Raman Nair (R) received a contribution of RM 50,000.00 from Chief Executive Officer LEKAS, Puan Wan Salwani binti Wan Yusoff to support the Paralympic Movement in the country. The proceeds will be used to shore up the initiatives for TambahEMAS Paris 2024 Campaign.
Lazada Malaysia Partnering PCM
Lazada Run Events are organised by Lazada across Southeast Asia in 6 cities. It aims to engage experiential zones featuring popular brands and to inspire fitness among its consumers.
Lazada Malaysia partnered with Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) for Lazada Run to promote inclusivity and supports athletes with disabilities. A total of 40 para-athletes joined the free 1 km route held on 16 July 2023 in Cyberjaya. YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports flagged off the event.
President PCM, Dato' Sri Megat D. Shahriman Dato' Zaharudin received a mock cheque amounting to RM50,000.00 from Chief Executive Officer Lazada Malaysia, Mr Alan Chan. The proceeds are to support PCM's initiatives which include TambahEMAS Paris 2024 campaign.
This initiative by Lazada showcases their corporate social responsibility to take steps to make persons with disability inclusive in our society. An effort by Lazada for #WeThe15 Campaign.

Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) will send Team Para Malaysia to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, which will take place in France from 28 August to 8 September 2024. Team Para Malaysia has won 6 gold medals in the Paralympic Games series – 3 at Rio 2016 and 3 more at Tokyo 2020. We are now on a mission to increase these counts – TambahEMAS – to hit a new target – Pingat Emas Ke-10.
One of Malaysia's top community pharmacies, Health Lane Family Pharmacy, in collaboration with PCM and embodies the phrase "NEVER GIVE UP" in their pursuit of greatness despite enormous obstacles. Health Lane believes that the less fortunate athletes should be given adequate support system to scale greater achievements that can serve as an inspiration to our society.
The TambahEMAS Paris 2024 Box will be located at all Health Lane Family Pharmacy cashier counters as from 1 June to 31 December 2023. Citi Global Community Day 2019
Citi Malaysia partnered with Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) to host Citi’s 14th Global Community Day on 22 June 2019. Volunteers from Citi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and Penang managed to raise funds totaling to RM102,656.43 to PCM Crowdfunding Campaign “Tambah Emas”. Proceeds channel to Malaysian Paralympians’ training and development for Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020.
Citi is a global international partner of the International Paralympic Committee and supports Paralympic councils in 18 key markets.
Citi Malaysia has sponsored two Paralympians – sprinter, Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi and swimmer, Muhammad Nur Syaiful Zulkafli who are world-class para athletes and have done Malaysia proud by bringing home gold medals from previous Paralympic games.
Toyota Outrun 2019
This is in line with its principal, Toyota Motor Corporation’s substantial support for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as its first ever mobility partner, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) able to support physically challenged people who wish to participate in para sports.
Under the 'Start Your Impossible’ banner, UMWT introduced a DUAL HEROES CONCEPT which describes a local athlete who is constantly fighting against dual odds - on the field, and in life. Through this concept, the Company has chosen Abdul Latif Romly, Malaysia’s first Paralympian who broke the T20 long world record 3 times, named as Sportsman of the Year in 2016 as its SYI Ambassador.
UMWT with its new initiative, organized their very first 8-km Toyota Outrun at Bandar Rimbayu, Kota Kemuning, Selangor on 17 November 2019. Proceeds totaling RM151,100.00 will be channeled to Paralympic Council of Malaysia’s "Fitness & Exercise with Person with Disabilities” Program. The Program is to train the Trainers so that they are well equipped to guide disabled persons who have sports potential.
