08/08/2011

All of the samples collected and analyzed for prohibited substances from last month's 2011 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming European Championships in Berlin, Germany, were returned negative, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has confirmed.

Approximately 40 urine and blood samples were collected from a number of the 450 athletes competing, and the testing was conducted by Germany's national anti-doping agency, NADA.

In eight days of competition, 59 European records and 31 world records were broken in the pool. Ukraine topped the medals table after dominating the event with 41 gold, 37 silver and 28 bronze medals.
