The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPC) is pleased to announce that Nor Azimah Bahauddin has been appointed as International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Powerlifting Classifier for the upcoming Paragames Breda 2011, to take place in Ulvenhout, the Netherlands in October this year.
The Breda Paragames is a biannual event, intended to bring together a great variety of sports for the disabled. This year some 25 different sports will be featured in the event. Whereas the Paralympics aims at top level sporting, the Paragames offer the opportunity to compete on all levels, from passionate amateurs to international level athletes.
Sports that will be featured in the Paragames include athletics, badminton, boccia, bowling, G-football, goalball, H-hockey, handcycling, archery, equestrian sports, judo, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair dancing, wheelchair tennis, table tennis, tandem race, water basketball, wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball and swimming.
