The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPC) is happy to announce that its President, Dato’ Zainal Abu Zarin was awarded the highest honorary sash (selendang kehormat tertinggi) from the Silat Lincah Association Malaysia (Pertubuhan Seni Silat Lincah Malaysia) in year 2009.

Silat is Malaysia’s own form of martial arts, renowned for its flowing and agile movements. The Silat Lincah Association Malaysia, founded in 1963, is an organization which caters to the needs of silat practitioners. The organization has also expanded to other countries, including England, Belgium, New Zealand, the Netherlands, France, Madagascar and, most recently, South Korea, with 30,000 members abroad. It has more than 1 million members worldwide.
