The Malaysian Paralaympic Council (MPC) congratulates Kamaruzaman Kadir for having been selected as IPC Powerlifting Technical Delegate for the upcoming ASEAN Para Games (an IPC approved competition), to be held in Indonesia.

Kamaruzaman will head to Surakarta Indonesia by 15 December 2011 for the games, which will end on 20 December 2011. Among his many duties are:

• To construct and adapt where necessary the competition schedule in agreement with the local organizing committee
• To prepare and adapt where necessary the training sessions schedules
• To prepare daily schedules for the referees and jury
• To ensure that the anti-doping provisions are in place and in accordance to the IPC Anti-Doping Code

ASEAN Para Games is a biannual multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. An estimated 2,000 athletes will compete in the upcoming event. If added with the officials, the estimated number of people involved is some 3,000 persons.
